Skate bowlA bowl-shaped object emerges from a block of polyurethane foam, like a frozen cloth moments before impact. The curved form, precisely measured using a three-dimensional grid, finds its place in the theater hall of C-mine Genk.
The object serves as both stage and sculpture. The bowl invites different uses: as a skate park with endless possibilities for movement, as a performance space, and as a sheltering structure for exhibitions.
The construction, inspired by airplane wings, consists of hollowed-out ribs in a grid structure. A thin, foldable outer layer provides rigidity. Like a timeless wave, the form extends across the stage and tribune.
