Double houseA double residence in the middle of a wild garden. The house is a collection of similar, autonomous rooms arranged around a shared outdoor room. The layout of the floor plan is guided by the existing trees in the garden. In the outdoor room, the square module of the floor plan doubles into a rectangular space where the distinction between inside and outside is deliberately left ambiguous. The light structure for a modest kitchen - like an appendix hanging on the outside of the insulated living volume, but within the weighty stone structure - emphasizes the ambiguity of the room.
