More Than ChatMore Than Chat explores the potential of image-generative artificial intelligence in architectural design. Today's AI models no longer merely assist; they speak, see, and generate at a pace that seems to surpass our own cognitive processes.
This exhibition presents AI-generated experiments developed during an intensive summer school with students and researchers. Rather than approaching AI as a ready-made tool, the summer school opted for experimentation. The results are not final designs, but fragments of a process – traces of negotiation between human intention and machine suggestion. The exhibition raises fundamental questions: How can architects gain control over concepts like latent space and diffusion? Who determines what AI generates? What happens to creativity, authorship, and architectural values in this new landscape?
Olivier Campagne's photographic series serves as counterpoint, reminding us that AI design tools are embedded in technological, social, and ecological structures with their own assumptions.
