DriemasterBetween the city center and the industrial port lies a transitional zone—a peri-urban landscape lacking clear definition. Recent developments like a park along canal De Lieve and a productive area nearby have begun to structure this undefined terrain. The house emerges as a haven that doesn't resist this fragmented context, but instead engages with its unpolished character.
The design unfolds through a series of interconnected spaces: an entrance square open to the street; a public staircase with overlapping flights; a cave-like kitchen extending towards the garden; a living room pavilion framing exterior views; and an attic with a panoramic vantage point over the surroundings.
